VeriVid provides probabilistic risk assessments, not definitive proof of manipulation. Our results are informational only and should not be used as the sole basis for legal action, employment decisions, or other consequential judgments.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using VeriVid ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
2. Nature of the Service
VeriVid is an AI-powered tool that analyzes media content to estimate the probability that it has been artificially generated or manipulated. Our service:
- •Provides risk indicators, not absolute verdicts
- •Is not legal proof of authenticity or manipulation
- •May produce false positives or false negatives
- •Should be used as one input among many in verification workflows
3. Appropriate Use
VeriVid is designed for:
- ✓Content verification by journalists and media organizations
- ✓Due diligence checks for advertisers and content platforms
- ✓Personal verification of suspicious content
- ✓Research and educational purposes
- ✓Risk assessment as part of broader verification workflows
4. Prohibited Use
You may NOT use VeriVid for:
- ✕Harassment or defamation: Using results to falsely accuse individuals of creating deepfakes
- ✕Legal proceedings: Presenting VeriVid results as definitive legal evidence without expert corroboration
- ✕Employment decisions: Terminating or not hiring individuals based solely on VeriVid analysis
- ✕Enabling fraud: Using our service to improve or test deepfake generation
- ✕Automated abuse: Overwhelming our systems with automated requests beyond reasonable use
- ✕Illegal content: Uploading content that violates applicable laws (e.g., CSAM, illegal recordings)
5. Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY ACCURATE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERIVID AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
You acknowledge that AI detection technology has inherent limitations and that no detection system achieves perfect accuracy.
6. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to content that you upload to VeriVid. We do not claim ownership of your media.
By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process the content solely for the purpose of providing analysis. This license terminates when the content is deleted.
7. Our Ethical Commitment
VeriVid is built to combat AI misuse, not enable it. We are committed to:
